Moody Coco & Rambles

Hello everybody! How are you doing? It is been a long time since I posted anything on a Wednesday, to be honest! Well, the thing is that the last weekend I took Coco off the Victorian dress, and put her in something more comfy after trying the pattern for the new dress.

She looked so pretty that I ended up setting the couch and the only food prop I own (I seriously need more food props), and took some photos. Since I couldn't pic just a couple, I decided to share them all in the blog xD Critics are welcome, though!

I will add some dolly rambles after the photos.

Coco needs her new eyes so desperately T_T It breaks my heart to see her current eyes *cries a river* I do hope to be able to get those eyes for my birthday.

Time to rant! Have you seen that Iplehouse is discontinuing dolls? There are a lot of dolls, in all sizes, and although I didn't want anyone in particular I may have daydreamed about Soa, I'm worried that they would discontinue Violet before I can get her. After all, the oldest sculpt (in JID) are Tania and Tatiana, and not Soa and I. Well, there is not much I can do right now, except worry, so I would just settle with rambling and sharing this xD

On a sadder note, again with Iplehouse, it appears that the newly released HID doll is already recasted!! I was like WTF is this?? The first batch just arrived and they already got it? The panther is recasted too! And then pro-recast people wonder why we don't like them at all =S

Anyways, I had twitted that this weekend I would post the Regency Steampunk dress, but I completely forgot about the interview, so this Sunday will have it, and the next weekend will be the dress, and the other would be about Coco's dress. I have everything planned out! :D

Also, I saw Darjeeling's gorgeous doll family relations plan, and since  she made and shared the base, I will (in the near future) attempt to make my own chart with all the current and planned characters. Hope I can do it!

How are you doing? Any dolly news to share? Hope you are doing great! :D

  1. Love Coco's green top! It looks so delicate. :)

I hadn't noticed all those planned discontinuations from Iple - some of those dolls aren't even the oldest ones! I wasn't planning on ordering anyone from them, but with the sale prices that becomes tempting...

    1. Thank you!! My mom made that top :D

And regarding Iple, I know! Some sculpts are really new! I always liked Soa a lot more than Asa, to be honest.

  2. I don't know what's up with Iplehouse, either. I can understand some of the discontinuations, because there are quite a few dolls listed that I have never cared for. Others were a total surprise. I wonder if they just overextended themselves with the Carved Heritage series. So many new dolls over a period of two years--you know they have to be exhausted. Even so, they say they will not make any of them Basic. (Except for Bliss, I presume, as she is Basic already.)

About the recasting: I don't know whether Iplehouse casts its dolls in-house or not, but I always worry about dollmakers who send their molds out to be cast. It seems that this practice opens up the possibility of recasters easily getting hold of a new doll.

Your photos today are fun! I love Coco's crocheted top. Looking forward to the day when my crochet skills let me do something like that. :)

    1. Iplehouse casts their dolls in-house, that is what makes the recast issue even worse: it means someone bought their dolls only to send it to recasters =S

At least they have the limited sculpts in the Doll Choice system, I *need* Violet so bad!! But Violet also has a basic, too.

Glad you liked the photos! My mom made the top, she is so skilled :D

  3. Coco's looking stunning as always, love that comfy look. Her eyes don't bother me, I think they are nice!

I was planning on doing a relationship chart of my dolls too!! I was inspired by a fanmade one of OUAT characters haha. I'll probably won't do it in years, but its nice to know that there's a nice base to use if I feel lazy XD thanks for sharing!

I will not even comment on recasts because ugh, I don't want to get angry

    1. Thank you!! Well, I do think that I will get those this year. Hopefully!

And I will love to see a relationship chart of your tiny/YoSD (continuously increasing) army, errr, collection xD And Lucas and the possible new MSD crew too!

Yup, that recast thing is pathetic.

  4. I like Coco's eyes, but isn't it fun to choose the "upgrade"? :D She looks beautiful in that top and shorts, your mother is very talented chochetting! ^__^ Always lovely to see both of your handwork.

    Recasts - that's SO sad. =__= *sigh*

    1. Thank you!! That top really suits her :)
And yes, I like choosing the upgrade eyes, but I'm still mad at the current ones. And the sad part is that I loved them when I got them =S

Anyways, I agree with you and the recasts =S

  5. Coco is so lovely. What an amazing top she is wearing *^^*

This recast business just makes me feel sick to my stomach. To think so many people don't have any shame about it is just super sickening. -_-

For news...I'm soon getting my PW Hunky Dory. Only a little over a year since I ordered her :'D She will be so gorgeous though!! *__*

    1. Thank you so much!! The top was from the store :D It didn't sell, so my mom allowed me to keep it.

A year!? That is a long wait!! I do hope she ships and arrives soon!!

  6. Hmm, I understand company's needs to keep their line-up more simple, with the cost of having so many different molds and such! However it's a shame you might miss out on a doll you liked =( There's no way for you to make a last-minute order?

Coco is cute, I actually love her more in casual style, she looks so relaxed!

    1. Well, although I liked Soa she was never a priority, just a thought. Right now I would very much like to have Violet, for another character, and I'm being too slow to save for her :(

Thank you for the comment! Coco needs more casual stuff, but she is a diva, and like dresses xDD

  8. I think that it's so sweet, wonderful and amazing that you get to share this hobby with your mother. I wish I could do the same, because I know my mother would have love bjds! :)

Lovely top, and beautiful photos! You're both so creative! :D
