Faeries' Portals ~ Lore

Hello! Well, this was one of my goals for the year: to share more about my doll's world. I originally wanted to start once I had my tinies' urethane eyes, but after that failure I decided to start anyways. I do hope to get them new eyes soon, though.

Okay, today I want to share a very small lore or details about my tinies' world: they are faeries, so everything is magical there. So, have a cute photo of Cookie on her new outfit (I did try to make that crossed vest and a front opening, and it ended up looking so cute!) and the lore is under the cut. There is no wall of text, just a couple paragraphs.

Portals on the Fairy World

Usually, faeries need to travel from their Settlement to different parts of the human world. Many of their jobs require them to move fast from one place to another, like Tooth, Dream or Godmother fairies. Because of this, long ago, the Elder Fairies created portals, and set the Kitten Fairies to protect them… although their indecisiveness sometimes makes more than one fairy late to their appointment.

Portals look like human marbles: they are small balls that shine with the light of the route they contain: a gate to a desert may sparkle orange, and one to a city may be gray or white; those that go to rainy places are usually blue, while green ones often lead to forests, farms or similar places.

Fairies on the Settlement do not have magic, which is why Kittens register the traffic, giving each traveler fairy a one-time key, so they can return to their own world after their job is done. Sometimes, human have found used-up keys, thinking they are small charms. Luckily, used keys fade into fairy glitter.

And this was all for today! I promised a very small lore, but I do want to share this stuff. Also, all hail the one potted plant at my mom's that is big enough for my tinies. So, now you know why the only 'outside' photos I scarcely take, look the same: I have only one pot xD Also... I only managed to edit one photo nicely: the first one. Doing that 'magic' thing around the marble got all my intelligence, and the other photos -which featured more marbles- didn't look that pretty. And the last photo is just to share the dress, because I love it!

Anyways, hope you have enjoyed this! Would you be interested in seeing more of these small lore/stories? I have another one planned, though. Do you write 'lore' for your dolls' stories? Let me know, I'm curious!

  4. Hi Musume,
I really like the lore you have developed for the fairies stories. The marbles and the colour relation to each journey's end is a wonderful idea, I love it!

We must be on the same wave length, I have just cut out a similar pattern for one of my Gotz girls. Yours turned out very well. :)
