Too Spooky Halloween Monster Tag

Hello! Here is the Halloween-themed tag/meme I told you last week! I found it on RikkiStar's video, but it was started by another youtuber, I think. Anyways, each question is made upon a spooky creature/character, but they are all related to dolls. I found it so funny and different from other tags, that decided to do it!

Ok, these are my answers! Beware of the wall of text!

Werewolf – How has the hobby “transformed” you?
To be honest, it changed me in so many ways! To me, the dolls are a medium to a wide and big hobby, wich includes not only sewing for them, but also taking photos and writing this blog. Sometimes I would have that crafty need of "I want to do something new" and wouldn't know what it could be... now it is probably something related to my dolls.
This hobby has also taught me patience to wait to save, to wait and plan. I have learned that even if it looks impossible, some things are acquirable with time (I was a broken student when I met BJDs and -as I believe a lot of people- I thought they were too expensive and that I wouldn't be able to get one) not only dolls, but things like my camera.
I have also met incredible people, and that is amazing!

Vampire – The dreaded sun! How do you feel about and cope with yellowing, or more generally the aging of these dolls?
Since I reasearched a lot before getting my first doll, I knew how to take all precautions. I have my dolls stored in their boxes, on a dry and dark closet, and when I take them out, I always display them near me, but in a dark corner.
However, some moths ago I took Coco's headcap to remove the Eyecos eyes to clean them, and I saw that the inside of the head was ever so slightly pinkish. It literally destroyed me. I went from sadness to anger. I know that resin yellows even if it is not directly on the sun, but... she is my queen, and it hit me hard. After that, I got my Coolcat order of strings and took the oportunity to take Coco apart, wash her, clean her, and re-string her. I was sort of my "apologize" to her. Silly? Yes, maybe. Probably.

Frankenstein’s Monster – Have you ever modded a doll? Tell us about it! If you could magically try any mod without fear of failure, what would you like to try?
No, I have never modded a doll, not beyond replacing strings, sueding/hotglueing or wiring. Come on, it took me like six months of having Coco to stop being so afraid of make her stand, hahaha! Painting Merry and Cookie's animal parts doesn't count as modding either.
But, if I could mod without fear of failure, to answer the second part... I don't know what I would do! xD I have never thought of this, or related to modding!

Zombie – Have you ever caught the Marketplace virus?? Name some unplanned purchases that jumped out and “infected” you?
Not from the Marketplace, but from a company? I always liked 16cm dolls, but I knew Lati Yellows posed terrible, and were also very expensive. When I saw the Withdoll Donny, with that amazing pose-ability and a 40% discount event, I talked to hubby about getting her as a Christmas present... and here is Cookie! She threw away the character I had planned for her and created this kitten fairy and whole world of silly fairies, but I love her. She is just too cute.
Besides Cookie, I haven't had any unplanned purchases. I'm really structured and always plan everything xD

Skeleton – What’s your favorite body sculpt? Forget heads!
This happens me a lot, actually! I tend to like dolls more for their bodies than for the heads! I believe this is due it is relatively easy to find nicely-sculpted-and-detailed-adult-bodies for female BJDs in mini size, than to find not-bobble-headed-not-stylized-not-childish heads in this size.
Anyways, regarding bodies, I love Withdoll mini body, because the details and proportions are lovely. I also adore the new DollITS DKD mini girl because, besides having lovely proportions and incredible details, they pose so well!! If you see the pose-ability photos on their site, the body appears to be blendable and has lots of poses. Plus, the engineering of its joints looks stunning!
You can click the following photos to go to their sales page (Withdoll is at the left, and Dollits at the right):

Witch – Name some dolls that are magical! Seeing them on your dashboard inspires you! Can be general sculpts or specific dolls owned by talented friends
Well, first of all, I need to mention and thanks Sarqq and Sherimi :) Not only that their dolls are stunning and amazing, and their photos are always so neatly executed, I once asked them about advices for my photography, and they were very kind and helpful, and gave me some useful insight.
Another person I want to mention is Voo_DooLady. You may not know her, since she is a Blythe collector, but when I found their photos on Flickr I was like... wow! All her photos show a mood, and one-picture-story, her dolls have characters or emotions on the photos, and not forget to mention the high quality of the photography, always perfectly edited, always correctly focused. Those may be silly observations to some, but her photography inspired me a lot. "I want to be this good!" I told myself. Practice makes perfect, and, here I am!
Anyways, I contacted Voo_DooLady and asked her permission to post one of my favorites photos of her, to share it with you (I embebded the photo with Flickr's code, if you click it, you should go to her gallery).

Ghost – The one that got away. Do any limited or rare dolls “haunt” you to this day?
This one is sad to remember T_T There was a girl selling a gorgeous Rosette Vela, and I contacted her in order to try and negotiate something. She was adorable and offered me a layaway, but I really couldn't accomodate a good plan for both of us, and couldn't get the doll :(

Jason Voorhees – If you were gonna make Halloween costumes for your dolls (or if you plan to!) what costumes would you make?
Well, I have made two Halloween outfits! This holiday is not popular in my country, but I did the outfits anyway!
Last year (2014) I made Coco an outfit inspired in the Black Widow (both the spider and the superhero) for an outfit contest on a DeviantArt group. My mom did the most important parts of the outfit: an amazing shawl+hood with the shape of a spiderweb, and did the 'main part' of the boots (yup, I sculpted the soles, and painted them, and my skilled and talented mom did those amazing black boots!). I won the contest, hahaha.
This year (2015) I made Calina's witch outfit! It was only to "contribute" to my mom's collection of tiny witches and owls, and she liked it a lot! :D
Here are some thumbs of both dresses, if you click them you will go to the gallery. Coco's outfits photos are an eye sore, as I took them before having my proper camera and... well, they are awful. I really need to take new photos of this dress.

Chucky (possessed doll) – Have you ever been scared of dolls or a certain doll? Be honest!
Well, in fact... there is this (Dollzone, I think?) sculpt with really wide eyes, open-giant-smile and thin and pointy teeth that was a limited edition, I guess? Each time I see it I'm like "oh, please no!" *scrolls down as fast as possible*. I guess the teeth bother me...
BTW, if any reader has this sculpt... please don't be mad! I'm sure there are amazing customs of the doll, but it is just not my cup of tea :)
