Bunnies! Chicks! Hoppy Hope Easter!

To be honest, I think this is the cutest outfit I've done in a while. I dared to try something wild with the sleeves of the dress and they looked great, and also the bunny hood is just so adorable! I took these with an old Pentax which is, apparently, from Japanese manufacture and has the rings spinning in the opposite direction! I know it doesn't sound much to you, but I'm an avid adapted-lens photographer, and this is the only lens I have which is (quite literally!) backwards.

Anyways, there isn't much to do with this, except wishing you a a happy and relaxed long weekend, and that the chocolate eggs don't upset your stomach (which could be a reason of why Merry isn't here, mind you!).

Fashionable Hope!

Hello everyone!! Well, I have a new outfit to share, and this time I also took some close-up photos, because I really like this outfit. The coat is actually done in Liberty Fabric, and I think it's lovely, and very fashionable. The tood (of course) isn't proportional to her head so it can't be worn, but I found it was quite useful to hide the strings of her eye mechanisms, and it looked very neat.

I actually did two photo sessions with this, but I'm just picking the best photos and putting them here in a single one. I'll share some details below.

Earrings!

Hello all! I have more photos to share with you! This time, I actually tried to make some earrings for hope to match the pattern on the shirt. It's not very visible, and I hadn't taken any lens that could get a closeup (silly me), but in any case I think she looks great!

Spring Hope!

And in an unsurprising turns of event, I suck at naming blog posts. Nevertheless, I am so happy about the photos in this collection! In this city the government tends to plant these seasonal blossoms in different areas, and I had been scouting a few for photography purposes--the problem was that it was still winter and all the flowers sections had this little net on top to protect them so they could actually bloogm... which was not ideal for photos.

Anyways, I eventually found this one (I wanted uprple/pink flowers to get the effect you see here) and snapped about ~500 shots in ~30-40 minutes. They looked great! I don't have any before and after, I was too lazy for that, but I honestly love these.

Pretty (French?) Hope

I went to a new park, but it turns out it didn't have that many nice places for photos. I was meadering aimlessly through it, and found this metal chair, a bit shaded, which actually had a nice setting. I know it has nothing to do with the pretty, lacy dress, but it looks nice! The photos came up with a very blue-ish balance, but thankfully I shoot RAW and was able to play with the edits to get some very interesting photos!

Here is one, and more below. I shot these with a Pentax 135mm f2.8 with Pentax mount adapted to Sony E-mount. More under the cut!

Bookgirl Hope + New Wig

I think that by now you probably are aware of my eternal fight against wigs. Half of them are terrible. Anyways, I was *hating* the long wig HOpe had, and got this short bob that I think looks terrific on her, and had thus had an excuse to sew her a new outfit. It's soooo easy to sew for Blythe size!! Anyways, there were some awful, horrid rainy days on a row and I was not able to go to take photos outside, so enjoy a dull setup with the few hardbacks I have.

Hoodies and Gardeners!

Hello! Another silly post, but oh well. I share little of Hope (my modified Takara Blythe) here, and I think I should post more. These are are the "outtakes" of an outfit I did for sale in February. There is a lot available and in-stock in my Blythe store, and many things ready to ship. I really wish that this could spark and start to sell more, but for now I'll keep trying.

In another tone, I think the setup for these photos was lovely, so I wanted to share the outfit and the photos:

Pretty Hope with Earrings

Well, I don't post much of my adventures with Hope (my modded Takara Blythe), and I think it's time I do! Also, quick chime in, but feel free to check my Blythes' clothes store (there is an intenational free shipping event going on!). Anyways, now into the photos!! Yes, my grey wall--I love it, and I regret nothing! Besides that, I have three styles of photos I want to share, so... let's go!

Hope is a French Girl

Hello everyone! Today I wanted to share this outfit of Hope, my Takara Blythe, with you. This one is a bit special because it was my partner's idea actually! I was a blank void with no ideas going on and a mighty need to sew something, and he suggested me this set. I honestly am so happy with this outfit. Also, these are the last photos outside I took before Lockdown #5 nd #6 D:

Anyways, here are some photos, and more below. I do think I got some spectacular ones here. Also, go follow my Instagram Blythe account! I'm hoping to sell some clothes because I find myself in need of money.

Sewing for Blythe ~ Regency Set!

Hello everyone! Well, you know me--I've been sewing for dolls since I started in this hobby. Getting the Blythe reignited the passion, and I think it is mostly for the side. And well, since I also love period fashion and sewing, I decided to open an "atelier" or shop and sew for Blythes. But instead of commissions, I'll be doing pre-orders. I promise not to spam much here on this blog, but I wanted to share this one, since it is the first!

This is a regency set and I made the pattern myself. It is based on historical patterns (I have some books), and it is made in "Liberty of London" fabric. It also comes with props! The pre-order is open on the BigCartel, and there are only 6 unit tops. Here is one photo, and there are more details below:

Tea with Friends ~ Photos

Hello everybody!! Today I have a very simple post. Following up with the Sylvanians from the previous post, I decided to share this set I took from Hope, my Takara Blythe. Honestly? Setting up the set with the teacups took me about 15 minutes, crouching and kneeling in a mildly wet ground, getting mud on my leggings, but it was definitely worth it. And so many stares, oh my, I forgot those. Did I care? No, I did not!

Anyways, I did the outfit myself, the jacket has a bit of embroidery, and I hope you'll like it :D

Body Comparison: Blythe vs ClockworkFaery Sprites

Hello everyone! Well, this post is to satisfy my personal curiosity, but I am sure this will be useful to somebody else. So basically, when I purchased my ClockworkFaery Sprite I looked for comparisons against the Blythe body but couldn't find any. So now that I have a Blythe... here is a comparison! There are more pictures and some additional information under the cut!

Introducing Hope!

Hello everyone! Probably you already know that I got a Blythe---she is a Takara White Magic Night from 2005 (you can see the box opening here). Of course, I couldn't let her with a shiny face and shiny hair. I followed a bunch of tutorials (gosh, I honestly didn't know people did so many things to Blythes!) and finally got her to a decent shape.

Overall, what I did was: full carving and faceup, replacing the eyechips (using ResinRapture's awesome sheets!), then did the gaze lift, eyelids lift and sleepy eyes mods. Then replaced her body, wrestled with the neck joint, removed the scalp and got her a wig, and of course clothes. So far I'm quite happy with how she turned out, so here is Hope!

Unexpected Arrival ~ A Blythe!

Hello everybody! Well, unexpectedly, I was gifted a Takara Blythe. I honestly wasn't expecting this, but oh well. Welcome to the jungle! Errr~ the Blythe world. I know I have a couple of followers that would enjoy blythe content on my blog as well. I'm not giving up on BJDs, this is just an addition.

She is actually an original Takara, named "Neo Blythe White Magic Night", and it is from 2005. She was unopened, so it felt weird to open her box (her clothes did smell a bit to unused/stored toy), but I was surprised by everything she came with. Even a stand! And the Certificate of Authenticity had a little story about a bird and, guess what, she came with a bird as well! Anyways, here is she, and then, the opening is under the cut.
