Iplehouse Pet Doll Cat ~ Joints & Poses Reference

Hello everybody! Today I have the first video of the year: a reference/analysis on the joints, movement range and posing of the Iplehouse Pet Doll Cat.

On the video, I talk about how it is strung, then review the movement range of each joint individually, and then show posing of the pet. Also, I go through some details as head-cap location, eye size and blushing/face-up. As always, I apologize for the accent! This time I did not used a script, but recorded myself talking a little more freely (and with a new mic!). However, there are English and Spanish subtitles, in case you need them.

I'm personally very happy with the doll, as I find it really cute and a good compromise between aesthetics and jointing/posing. Here is the video!

Here are some posing photos! Most of them are the ones I put the Pet Doll on the video:

First of all, I need to thank my mom for lending me her usual potted plant... I have taken tons of photos of my tinies there! Also for holding all the stuff I took there to take the photos, and a backdrop :D

If you have any questions feel free to leave them in the comments, and I will answer them as best as I can. I plan to do a size comparison with my minis and tinies, but I thought that it would be better to have it on a separated post than on the same video... mostly because it is already a bit too long, and I don't want people to get bored while watching it. The size comparison is probably going to be photos-only.

Anyways! I hope you have enjoyed this! I even got a new mic to record voice overs! Here is to hoping I can share more videos this year :D I already filmed a similar reference for Venezia! Hope you are doing perfectly, and have a great weekend!

  2. How nice! I'm glad to have seen this review, even though I fear 10cm will be too small for SDs :( I may have to look for another option sadly, and I really liked the Iplehouse kitties. Aww, oh well. :) Thank you for doing the review, I hope you enjoy your doll a lot! :D

    1. Yeah, I think they are too small for SD dolls... maybe they are baby cats for 1/3? Or you should ask Iple for SD sized cats!
Hope you can get a pet kitty, and happy you liked the review!

  5. Thank you for this review! Beautiful photos too!
It is a good thing with bjd-animals! It gives a bigger range of photos, compared to the tiny Schleich animals. But those work well with tiny dolls, though.
    Enjoy your kitty, so cute!

I love to have her, I'm just waiting on the urethane eyes and having a little more progress on the diorama to share more story photos of her <3
