Tonner Shoes for Withdoll/Iplehouse JID

Lookie what arrived!! This package has a long story, so let me share it.

I bought them on early November, and they arrived to my country super fast. They were stuck only 2 week before I was able to pay customs... but then, the package got blocked. Reason? I paid too fast. After a month with no info on the package, I went to postal service. They told me I had to request a special procedure to get the package unblocked. I went to customs on December 30th to do it, and that is when I saw Venezia's box out of pure coincidence! Then, last Friday, I finally got the notice to pick up this small package on customs.

Anyways! This reference is about fashion doll shoes for Withdoll Mini. I also included some comparisons for Iplehouse JID, as Sherimichan asked me on Instagram about them.

Take in mind that not all shoes will fit. For fashion dolls shoes, the fit highly depends on: the shoe model, the width of the doll feet, and the arch.

In particular, the ones you see here are 22" Tonner/American Model shoes. I purchased them from Paul Zhangby store on Ebay. I have other shoes references, and you can see them here:

Feet Comparison

Before starting with the shoes, I want to share a small comparison about the Withdoll Mini and the Iplehouse JID feet. As you can see on this photos, they have the same arch, with JID's feet are wider. Strangely, JID high heel feet are shorter... and they are also shorter than the flat version!

Normal skin feet are Withdoll's, and tan feet are Iplehouse JID (glow light brown).

Platform Chunky Heels

Here are some details:
  • Inside: it is white, made of some sort of leather.
  • Reinforcement: it has reinforcements on the heel and on the sides, to make the laterals thicker.
  • Shape: it is the widest of the shoes I got.
  • Materials: the beige part is velvet. The cord is not fixed, and therefore the ribbon can be unmade.

WITHDOLL MINI

You can click the image to enlarge it. Let's point out the details:
  • Fit? easy. The shoe has the correct size for the feet.
  • Standing? easy. The doll has no issue standing, I even tried several poses.
  • Socks? Only thin stuff, like a pantyhose.
  • Stains? Nope, as the inside is white, there are no issues.

IPLEHOUSE JID

As before, you can click the photo to see it bigger.
  • Fit? too tight. The shoe stretches on the front, and it is slightly too long for the feet. Check out the toes look, like if the shoe is too big.
  • Standing? requires a lot of balance.
  • Socks? Nope, it cannot fit anything else.
  • Stains? Nope, as the inside is white, there are no issues.

Pump Heels

This are my favorite! I've seen this model in lots of colors and materials, and also a blue pair with studs. Let's compare the details:
  • Inside: it is white, made of some sort of leather.
  • Reinforcement: it has reinforcements on the heel and on the sides, to make the laterals thicker.
  • Shape: it is not as wide as the first one, but not the thinnest. It may require some wrestling to get the feet on.
  • Materials: the outside is made of a glittery fabric, however, the glitter does not come off.

WITHDOLL MINI

You can click the image to enlarge it. Let's point out the details:
  • Fit? easy. The shoe has the correct size for the feet. There might be a little gap on the instep.
  • Standing? easy. The doll has no issue standing.
  • Socks? Only thin stuff, like a pantyhose.
  • Stains? Nope, as the inside is white, there are no issues.

IPLEHOUSE JID

As before, you can click the photo to see it bigger.
  • Fit? nope. The shoe is too thin and the feet cannot enter. Maybe if you push enough the shoe with stretch, but it might break the shoe.

Peep Toe Heels

I couldn't resist glitter. Evelien's comparison on Flickr shows another pattern/fabric, and that this also fits Minifee A-Line. Let's compare the details:
  • Inside: strangely, it is made of the same glittery fabric. I personally think they could've made only the peep part with the glitter, and keep the white on the rest.
  • Reinforcement: t doesn't have any, so the laterals are clumsy and it is harder to get the foot on.
  • Shape: it is really thin compared to the other shoes.
  • Materials: both the outside and inner sole are made of glittery fabric.

WITHDOLL MINI

You can click the image to enlarge it. Let's point out the details:
  • Fit? because the shoe is thinner, you might have to wrestle with the shoe a little to get it in. However, once in, the feet looks nice.
  • Standing? easy. The doll has no issue standing.
  • Socks? Nope. The shoe is already and tight fit.
  • Stains? The glitter doesn't come off, and it did not stain my doll when I tried it.

IPLEHOUSE JID

As before, you can click the photo to see it bigger.
  • Fit? nope, at all. This shoe is extremely thin, and only trying to get the point in stretches it a lot. On the photo, that was all that the foot got inside the shoe. I didn't dare to push it more because it was so stretched already.

As I have researched this shoes for a long time, I know there are other models that will fit Withdoll high heel feet. However, as I do not own them (yet!) I can only provide external knowledge.

I have found that Withdoll minis high heel feet have the same arch, length and width than Minifee A-Line high heel fit. Consequently, checking on ktlovesbjd on Flickr: these other pump model should fit, and these booties should also fit.

Another thing I want to point out, is that Withdoll changed the feet shape between late 2012 and early 2013. Probably around the time they added the locking mechanism to the wrists. Why do I say this? Mostly because older dolls (from before late 2012) have a wider and longer high heel feet, and these shoes will not fit. You can check that here.

Anyways, I hope you have found this useful! If you have any questions feel free to ask them on the comments and I will do my best to answer. Also, I apologize for not making a video, but I thought that having it all written up would be better for comparison... if you want a video of fitting the shoes and all, let me know.

Have a great week!

  2. Thank you for your informative review! I love the shoes you selected and I'm so glad to hear you finally received them. I have some JID high heels, so I tried them on WithDoll high heel feet and found they were a very good fit. This was an older style, dark gray and pink with a gray bow. I don't know if the other JID styles fit.

  3. Hi Musume,
I don't have any dolls with high heel feet, well more to the point I have the feet but don't use them. But that doesn't mean I don't like looking at yours and do I love your choices...the red ones would be great for a Dorothy. :) Fabulous review as always!

  4. Thank you for the detailed information and photos! ♥ It's a shame that those shoes wouldn't work so well for JID girls :/ Many of my attempts to fit the nYID/SID/EID feet on some SD shoes look pretty much the same, hahah... But that same Ebay seller actually has great shoes for the bigger Iple girls too!

    1. Happy you liked it!! Yes, I've been researching for JID only a little (not like the 3.5+ years for Withdoll), but so far, the information is scarce and there are not much choices. However, I'm determined to shared everything I find!

  8. Love those shoes, especially the chunky heels! My BJD's have flat feet, but it would be nice to either find shoes with some heels for them too.
Great review! And great tip you gave to Crystal - I shall follow that too! :D
