Iplehouse JID Comparison & Joint Review

Hello! Today I have yet another comparison and review. This time, it is about the Iplehouse JID girl body. I know this is not a new body, but I have realized that information is scattered, hard to find, and some things can only be "discovered" after reading pages and pages of the DoA discussion thread. So! I thought it would be nice to have it all neatly ordered.

On the video I talk about the hip joints and mobility joint, its stringing, some issues I've found regarding ankle joints, and other details of the torso joint. Also, there is a comparison with Withdoll mini, and a resin comparison of the glow light brown skin with Withdoll's brown tan (uv). On the last part of the video there is more info regarding the Violet sculpt. I need to thank the amazing Roterwolkenvogel and Bustamante119 for their help on this, as they contributed with some photos.

As always, the video has English and Spanish subtitles, in case my accent gets on the way too much. Here is the video, and there are more comparison photos and some more info under the cut... I thought the comparisons would be nice to also have in photo format.

Withdoll Mini vs Iplehouse JID

As you can see on the photos, Withdoll's have a really long neck, but in my opinion, it does not look off regarding the Iplehouse JID. Both sculpts (Rachel and Violet) wear 6-7" wigs. As a note, Iplehouse JID glamour bust and hip circumference are 4cm longer than on Withdoll's body (large bust). Iplehouse waist is only 3cm wider.

Resin Comparison

In here I'm comparing:
  • Iplehouse glow light brown. This is regular urethane resin, but it has a special development made by Iplehouse. It has a different texture than regular resin, and therefore more friction. It does not shine, it has seam lines, and I don't think it can be sanded without leaving a mark.
  • Withdoll brown tan (uv). This resin is environmental, so it is really soft and has a little shine to it. Withdoll does offer the same color in urethane version... you simply have to select the one named "brown tan" without the "(uv)" on the name.

This was all for today! I hope you have found this useful! If you have any questions feel free to ask them on the comments, and I will try my best to answer you. Hope you are having a great weekend!

  3. Hi Musume,
It's good to see nude dolls side by side like that. I must admit, I really like IpleHouse resins as I'm not very fond of a shiny look.

    1. Glad you like this! Withdoll's resin is not shiny on the urethane tones... this was like that because it is French/environmental resin!
But I agree that Iplehouse has some awesome colors!

  4. Great review! The Iplehouse bodies are interesting. I love my Iple girls to death, but I wish the posing was better xD For some reason my EID poses much better than my SIDs, but my SIDs are more recent, and I think they "improved" the elbow joints. :P

    1. Thanks! I agree with that, my girl's hips joints is driving me insane, to be honest. The knot is very hard to keep between the mobility joint and the knee, and one leg always stays more tight than the other. A real pain. It is sad, because they are really gorgeous and expensive to have such terrible joints. JID arms are great, though.

    1. Well, I bought them knowing the ankle issues, but I didn't expect the tight issue. However, I thought it was a good opportunity to share more info about them.
Nowadays, people appears to share info only on Fairyland!
