Fairies Healing
Fairies never got sick. Or at least, that is what some humans believe. Fairies are born from flowers and, therefore, have a very special relationship with nature. It is so strong, that usually, little sprouts of the saplings they were born from grow on their heads, ears or tails. And because of this, those flowers also indicate if a fairy is healthy or not -they loose petals when they are not, and they shine and spread when the fairy is at their best.
Elder Fairies are specialists on foreseeing when something bad is going to happen. And it is in that moment that fairies return to their roots -quite literally. Flowers and plants will grow and provide little caves where fairies can take refuge for a couple days, and become one with nature again. Flowers sprout around them, healing their ailments.
And because of that, fairies have a deep bond with nature, respecting its powers and having faith in its powers and benefits. Be careful of hidden spots in nature, parks and gardens. It may be a sacred space growing to cure a troubled fairy.
And this is all for today! I hope you enjoyed this little bit of story. Is there anything in the fairy world that you are curious about? I would love to know so I can write stories that address those doubts! :D Wish you the best, and thanks for reading!
In the first photo she looks like she has a headache. In the second photo it looks like she has found relief amid the plants and flowers. I always enjoy these cute bits of fairy lore.
ReplyDeleteYes, yes, that was my idea! Besides covering her open eyes, of course. I'm not that good with photoshop, sadly D: I'm so happy you liked the story :D
DeleteOh how lovely, I'm so glad that she's found her healing place.
ReplyDeleteWhat I would like to know is this....are fairies like the 'borrowers' and find useful those things that we maybe no longer use, or discard for something 'better'? Or are The Borrowers a completely different species to the fairies that you tell us about?
Big hugs Sharon in Spain xx
Oh, I saw that movie!! No, my fairies are planned and thought from different hearsays and miths. For example, in Europe/Latinamerica the tooth fairies are actually mice; so Mice Fairies have the profession of collecting kids teeth and leaving a coin behind. Dragonfly fairies are the ones that act as "fairy god mothers", giving hope and goals to people. Sheep fairies are those that take away nightmares and help people sleep (you know, because we "count sheeps" to sleep?). It all started like that. Maybe I should do another "recap" of the fairy world?
DeleteA very sweet explanation of how fairies heal themselves Musume, and your photos depict this beautifully. I hope your little one heals quickly, in time to have some Christmas fun. :)
ReplyDeleteBig hugs,

Thank you so much!! :D I hope so as well!
DeleteIt looked like she was in deep sadness at first, curling up like that. The second photo show so much relief.
ReplyDeleteGreat lore, thank you for sharing. :)
Awww, thank you! I'm so happy my pics were able to convey that much!
DeleteLike the ohter commenters said, you managed to capture pain and relief. And the setting brings a bit of spring feeling amidst all the grey and rain over here. Thank you :).
ReplyDeleteAwww thank you! :D That is so kind of you!
DeleteOnly two photos but there is so much on them. They beautifully illustrate the story.
ReplyDeleteYour little fairy has adorable boots. :)
Thank you so much!! :D
DeleteHappy you like her boots! All the knitted wear my dolls have was made by my mom, especially the tiny boots!
