Hope you will like it :D
In this story, since the space is so small, I was mostly trying to play with foreground/background blur, and a short field of vision on the camera. I really like the results, though! Do you ever attempt weird things with your camera?
Depth of field is not so easy to achieve with my camera. I used to play with it more with my big manual camera, back in the day when film had to be sent away to be developed. I like your pics. I didn't think there would be enough room for the little dragons to move around in this setting but they look right at home. Of course, I can imagine them running amok through the shop, knocking tiny things over with each clumsy step. :D I guess that being fairies they are able to move more delicately than regular dragons. Eiar's hat is a hoot. Was that part of the set?
ReplyDeleteWell, a trick for depth of field is just either using smaller things for the background, or separating background from subject while getting the camera closer to the latter! I do use that from time to time.
DeleteActually, the set is the front garden of a house :D
And yes, the hats were part of the set! A PITA to make, btw.
With todays possibilities with all kinds of apps and editing one can make such great effects, but just taking a photo with a camera is another thing. Depth of field is hard, but I think you did very well!
ReplyDeleteI love looking at the photos you take, especially with the dragons and all the miniature props. So much to look at and explore!
Thank you so much!! Yeah, DoF is hard to achieve, but the lens I was using is great for miniatures honestly!
DeleteYour comment made me very happy :3
