A Dragon Army ~ Finished!

And so, I was able to paint 9 dragons (8 to gift, 1 for the giveaway), as well as mixmatching parts and doing some imagination exercise... because after the third, I had run out of ideas on how to paint them, honestly. So I did my best, trying to do some weird customisations that were different.

Slowly, dragons will find their home. I said slowly, because shipping is expensive, and I need to save money to be able to ship all of them, though. Anyways! Here is a video with their details, and under the cut we have pictures of each of them, and the parts combinations I did!

Purple Violet

Parts are:
  • Regular purple Violet body
  • Ashes large horns

Pink Violet

Her painting was inspired by cherry blossoms. Parts are:
  • Regular Pink Violet Body
  • Transparent jaw
  • Transparent large Ashes horns

White Ashes

The painting is inspired in Koi fishes. Parts are:
  • Regular white Ashes body
  • Transparent jaw
  • Transparent horns set (small and large)

Grey Ashes

I just wanted to do something blue-ish and greenish, to match the eyes I selected. The parts are:
  • Regular gray Ashes body.
  • Green wings from Seed
  • Short Ashes horns
  • Large Violet horns

Angel Violet

I was struggling with the yellow base color, so I decided to go for a full acrylic, no pastel look. I worked with colours that are complementary. Her parts are:
  • Regular Violet body (yellow) and horns.
  • Angel Wings

White Rot

I just had this idea of a dripping rainbow, and those extra rainbow eyes! Parts are:
  • Regular white rot parts. Sadly, Rot's horns are not interchangeable for now.

Green Seed

I just wanted to do leaves, in colours matching the eyes I had selected. Parts are:
  • Regular Seed body and horns.
  • Angel Wings from an Angel dragon set.

Angel Ashes

This one was the hardest to paint, besides the giveaway's butterfly. I struggled so much! I wanted an autumny look, mixed with a sugarskull, and dark eyeshadow to highlight the almost white eyes. The parts are:
  • Regular Ashes Angel body (yellow) and horns
  • Regular dragon wings (yellow)

And now, it is time for some group pictures!!

And this is all! I am really happy and how they turned out, and I honestly love each single one of them. Some were paiting experiments, and I learned so much. Also, had a lot of fun! Now, it is time to paint my Seed -who will be named Eiar- and repaint my Aion. Also, new profile pics for my dragons are due!

  1. Congratulations! You did an amazing job of painting the dragons. The details work reminds me of delicate china teacups. I'm sure the recipients will be thrilled, no matter which one they get.
