2018: Doll Goals

New year is here!!! I'm hoping you had a wonderful start!! Last week, on January 3rd, it was Venezia's first year: I'm still stunned that I have had her for so long. However, the next chapter for her story should be up on February, as I have a lot of (tiny-centered) stuff planned for January!

Anyways, let's start with the goals! I will check them back at the end of this year, as I always do, and see how much I have achieved and failed as well. Have a Merry in the meantime... will she miss or hit? The goals are after the cut xD

Goals for 2018

  1. I want to do my Secret Project! Expect an update about this next week! But it is a huge project, and I have so many ideas about it!
  2. Related to that, I've been hoarding and slowly getting painting supplies for them, as I'm finally going ahead with one of my ultimate dolly goals: leaning to do faceups. Granted, these will not exactly be faceups, more like blushing, but it is a start.
  3. I can't deny it: I enjoy period dresses too much. I want to make another project: either Beauty & Beast, or Ada Lovelace & Katherine Johnson cosplays. If I can't, at least sew another period outfit.
  4. I want to open my sewing commissions once and for all! I need them to be able to have more dolly-savings and get some stuff.
  5. Stuff I want to get (if customs and my wallet behave according to my plans):
    • Sewing notions and tiny shoes from Mimiwoo/Coolcat.
    • Shoes for Venezia (I have some stores in view).
    • Furniture and props for Coco & Venezia.
  6. Dare to take more "random" photos of my dolls: not everything needs to be really planned. I do enjoy doing this more with the tinies, as I find that anything (even a teacup) is a prop to them. I also want to use this as a excuse to practice more with the 50mm lens.
  7. Keep up on reading friend's blogs! I've been slacking on this due to too much work, but I want to check them at least once per week.
  8. Keep on the knitting-learning process, if the wool does not agree with me. I need to knit at least one thing! Whinning and wrestling with the wool is allowed, though.
  9. Make Cookie and Merry character pages, as well as the incoming Secret Project pages. I want to have my "Dolls' Info" page complete, once and for all!

By the way, poor Kitty Cookie!! At least those were practice arrows with adhesive points, hahaha! By the way, yes: I made the target and the arrows by myself! Those were actually easier than I thought they would, though the arrows came out really fragile.

And this is all for today! Fingers crossed that I'll be able to achieve my goals for this year! Do you have any goals? If you do, please share them, I'd love to see them! Anyways, hope you had a great start of the year, and Happy Three Kings/Wise Man, or whatever it translates, if you are celebrating!

  1. Your photos are fun, but poor kitty! I bet she'll think twice about posing in front of that target again. I love Cookie's pink booties.

I envy you coming up with a list of goals for the year. I rarely think ahead of the next blog post.

  2. Haha, the "story" of these photos are so funny XD I can easily picture Merry missing and hitting Cookie. Poor Cookie! Haha.

I think you have some reasonable goals. I'm curious about the secret project!
I need to become better at reading and commenting on blogs as well. We can do it!

Felicitaciones.

  6. Great and interesting goals! I do like the one with the photography - just taking random photos can be an experience and a learning lesson. And does not put too much pressure, either, on the need to be perfect. Me, on the other hand, should take some planned photos!
Then I am curious about the big project, look forward to reading more about that. Keeping my thumbs up and wishing you the best of luck!
    And poor kitty....!
