AillenDoll PlaPicos Box Opening!

What can I say, that was fast! Even though I shared the project last week, I ordered when Ashes came on on December 11th (from 2017) and they shipped two days later. A month of shipping and customs processing is -in my country- a really fast movement for a regular package! I didn't use EMS, so this was a K-Packet, which is similar to registered airmail.

So, after all, my dragons arrived on Thursday 18th of January. On Friday 19th I assembled Ashes, so that is why I'm sharing this opening with a little delay. And without further ado, here is the opening!! :D

I got the famous Tamiya X-22, so I could gloss things while doing faceups and blushings. It was only USD 2.5, and buying it locally in my country would have costed me around USD 7. Preposterous. However, the bottle is tinier than I thought it would be, but I've read and I've been told this will last a lot.

They came really well packaged! Even the tiny Tamiya paint was covered in bubble wrap. And inside the boxes, each template with the parts is also stored in an individual plastic bag, completely sealed. Violet came with both water decals and stickers for the eyes, and Ashes comes with two jaws -one open and one closed- to make it easier to pose.

The last thing you are seeing are the assembly manuals. I already assembled Ashes (named Aion), and to be honest the instructions were really easy to follow! I recorded the whole process -mistakes and all included- so I need to process that, make the voiceover and so on. I also already recorded some posing and comparisons as well. That should be the next video!

Have some Aion, demanding me to assemble Nyx right now! But that will have to wait, I'm gonna paint her unassembled.

And OMG he is so adorable!!! Also, Aion is the first "he" in my collection! I can't wait to paint them, I'm gonna test the sealants on the remaining templates, so I can have tons of info to share on future videos. First video is posing and overal review with size comparisons, and second one will be assembly/dissambly. I hope to not bore you with all of these, but I am so excited!! :D

  3. They look so adorable! *O* I haven't seen many comparison photos of these little dragons, so I'm curious to see how they compare to regular tinies and other dolls?

I bet it's going to be a fun project painting them :3 Don't worry about the gloss bottle being so tiny, it really lasts for a long time since you don't need to use much for each faceup!

  4. What a fierce little face! :D I'm happy to see that the plastic kit version has as much personality as Aileen's other pico dragons. One question: Do the pieces all snap together or to you need to string any parts of it?

So cute! I'm eager to see your video. Have fun painting them!

    1. He is fierce but adorable, am I right? Yeah, they have awesome faces, honestly! About the assembly: only the arms are strung, therefore the movement is limited. First video will be about that, actually!
