Tea Time ~ Lore

Time for another lore bit! I took these back on January. I had been updating my Etsy non-stop, and decided to take a morning to do something else. It was cloudy but I set up everything nonetheless.. and the sun came just in time when I started with the pics! Of course, it hid again right away... but I at least got some photos done :D

So, not much of an intro but here is a pic, and a little bit of lore underneath.

Fairy Coffee Shops

Regardless of what humans may think, Fairies work a lot. And so, they love to have places where to join other Fairies, spend time and, above all, drink human coffee and teas. Each one will always accompany their drinks with wildly different things. Some love desserts, pastry and typical bakery... but Mouse Fairies would burn the coffee shop is cheese is not presented. And Donkey Fairies will invariable request fresh plants as a dessert.

And so, Fairy coffee shops are full of different products... and also, have very different furniture around. Griffin and Horse fairies cannot use regular chairs, and Dog fairies cannot use couches: a single fairy will lay and occupy a three-people space in a matter of seconds.

Because of this, running this type of business is not easy. The waiters are animals that live alongside the settlement with the Fairies: birds, mice, toads, serpents... but no Fairy has ever seen the chefs behind it. Or another Fairy managing the shops. Who takes care of those? The most common theory is that Do Fairies –the settlement’s police- hides this secret very well, in exchange for a constant supply of donuts.

And this was all for today! Here is to hoping that when I get Beagle Baskerville, I'll be able to create a story "uncovering" the mystery behind the Fairy Coffee Shops. For now, who knows! Do you have any theory? Is an animal fairy behind it? Let me know!

  1. I think another fairy is behind it but wants the fairies to think it's an animal. All your props are so perfect and cute. This is a delightful little coffee shop.

    1. Ohhh that is a good idea! I'm happy that you like my props :D It was actually quite a small setup, but I took macro photos so the background will blur out!

  2. Jeez Musume, your imagination must be endless. I am not sure who is behind the Fairy Coffee Shops, but I AM SURE you will get to the bottom of it and reveal it to us all in good time. :) Even IRL we very rarely see the chefs or the owners of restaurants that are working behind the scenes, so I guess it should come as no surprise that it's no different in Fairyland. Love these little stories of yours. :)
    Big hugs,
