Red & Blue ~ Trying Things

Hello everybody! Well, sometime in 2019 I went to an event and got two of those plastic things that you hit together and light out. Truth to be told, I just wanted the little lights! And finally, I got to try them out.

Setting the camera for this was quite hard -I was hand-holding, thus my speed was about 1/160, and I had to rank up the ISO to about 1800 or more, and that is why the pics are noisy as well. I kept the aperture at f2.8 on my Tamrom 35mm, because I needed the autofocus -the Minolta lenses are fully manual.

I hope you'll like them! I thought the lights were barely too small for V, and the red beam was weaker than the blue.

I know it is not much for today, but I really wanted to share this photos that I got! I need to try to redo them in the future, maybe with other settings to get them less noisy. I'll try the Minolta so I can set it to f1.7 and lower the ISO.

Anyways, I dare you try to replicate the pics with your dolls! :D If you do it, come back here and share the link to your photos!

  1. I don't understand what the plastic things are, what you did or how, but the results are beautiful. If there were lots of people in the background it would look like she is at a concert. The colors of her wig add to the color effects because they catch and reflect the light differently. I like her outfit, too. Well done!

  2. Great idea to use those things - I do not know what they are called, but these things are popular at events and parties. I had a couple ones, but the light finally 'died'. Wonderful photos! She is a beauty!

    1. Yes, yes they are!! I know, they can "die out" because the battery they have is irreplaceable, sadly D:
