Getting Ready ~ Merry's Beans Adventures

It appears that Merry's confusion with the beanstalk ended up being quite a popular story! My original idea was simply Merry not understanding that a story is fiction, but... I had many requests and ideas to continue this, so here I am! I hope to do four "chapters" on this story, including the first one.

I originally wasn't planning on this today's adventure, but after taking a photo for Instagram, I decided to take a couple more and share this on the blog. I hope you'll enjoy it! As always, the story is under the cut!

Getting Ready: A Story

Merry was not sure about what had happened with the beanstalks. Apparently, her research had not been enough. She sat on her tree house thinking about what could have been wrong. After hours of thinking and brainstorming, she came to a very basic conclusion: that human potted plant was not a beanstalk, regardless of the lookalike. And that lead to a second conclusion: she had proper golden beans; therefore, she had to plant them!

However, her first wave of enthusiasm faded away as she realized that she knew nothing of gardening! Nonetheless, that was an easy fix. She rushed to the centaur fairies’ gardens, and asked around until a goodhearted fairy decided to teach her how to pot plants. After a week of instructions and practice, Merry knew what she had to do: before potting the beans, she needed to collect the tools: a pot, a watering can, and gravel.

With a smile on her face, she went ahead to the centaurs’ gardening store: the watering can was the first item on the list to be stroke down. Now, she needed to get her hands on a pot big enough to hold a huge beanstalk. After all, she was thinking on the plant’s future needs.

And this was all for today! I apologize for the less elaborated photos, but this was more of an impulse story that I didn't want to pass of doing. I hope you are doing great! Any dolly plans in the making? Have a great week!!

  1. This is so cute! All your props are adorable: I love the tiny mouse and the miniature bicycle. Is it a planter? I've seen larger bicycle planters that look very much like it. I love Merry, too. She has the sweetest expression. I look forward to the next episode.

    1. Thank you!! The bicycle was a gift. It is too small to be a planter, but I've seen other things like this... like a carriage made of the same material!
I'm so happy you like her, I have the next installment ready!

    1. Thank you!! Merry is a mouse! She is a mouse fairy and her job is to collect the milk-teeth from children and leave a coin behind. That is why she is fascinated with human coins and even has a collection of them!
