Train Rails

Hey there! Well, thing is that around August/September I had a very complicated time. I moved houses and had to spend a lot of time away of my camera and my dollies. Honestly, I missed them far more than I expected. So one day I was finally able to retrieve some of them, and brought Cookie in both of her shapes, with me.

Husband took me outside to a park to take some photos. We went on the wee hours of a Sunday (which means 8am on the morning), but soon some people started walking around. I honestly didn't care, as Cookie was so small that nobody noticed. But hubby was dying of shame so we went back home.

However I managed to grab some really cool photos! I'm thinking of making Coco a dress to take some photos of her on the train rails, actually. There is no story to this photos, so, enjoy!

The thing is, husband also gifted me a gorilla tripod (and with the phone adapter as well!) and I hadn't been able to use it for the first time! So I had the perfect excuse. And to be honest, the tripod allowed me to take some really good angles. It is 25cm tall when standing with all the legs together, and can bear up to 3kg. That is a lot for my Nikon D5100.

And this is all for today! Thank you so much for watching and reading, and hope you are having a great time. How is your dolly hobby going? I apologize if I haven't been able to read your blogs, I will try to catch up as soon as possible!

  1. I love the photos you've taken with the aid of your gorilla tripod. I bought one of those almost a year ago and haven't used it yet. Your photos make me want to try it.

The tracks make a good background for Cookie. They look abandoned. I hope they are, or I'd be afraid of a train coming while I was setting up!

I hope you're enjoying your new home.

The tracks are halfway abandoned, actually. But I went on an hour I knew it will not be used!

  5. Very interesting backdrop there Musume, never would have thought of using a railroad track myself. The photos turned out well, nice and bright, I like the one of Cookie sitting on the rail the best. I have a normal tripod that I use sometimes, but have recently ordered a gorilla tripod as they appear to be quite a handy thing to have for difficult situations.

    Big hugs,
