The problem was that when I was changing her heeled feet for the flat ones, the string bounced, cut my finger, and cracked Venezia's calf. I almost died that day. I had been having an awful month, a terrible week, and then V was broken. I tried writing to Iplehouse, and turns out they not only stopped producing Glow Light Brown, they were only offering EMS Premium, and I honestly couldn't afford $50 of shipping just for a $15 parts. Gratefully, I was saved by AirimirOfGondor (read here interview here), who fixed the leg. The matching is not that good, mostly because of the MSC, but for now I can live with it.
After that, a relocation happened, and Venezia was boxed for a while. There isn't much in this post sans this rant and a bunch of photos--I was trying odd angles, and most of them ended up badly focused (I'll blame the chilly wind that forced me to rush, and you cannot rush a manual lens). Anyways, more under the cut.
This would be all for today! I know the edits weren't great, but I really like that concrete wall! Must make a fancy dress to take her pictures there--there is something appealing about amazing dressed photographed against rough backgrounds. Anyways, at least Venezia is back!
Glad she's back, she is always lovely to look at, concrete wall or not!
ReplyDeleteThanks! I actually really loved how the wall photographed. She needs a fancy dress to be shot there!
DeleteHappy to see Venezia is back! She looks beautiful as always, and I like that background too. Waiting for a fancy dress shoot. <3
ReplyDeleteThank you!! Me too, I'm waiting to go to a fabric store and purchase something colourful!
DeleteGreat to see Venezia again! And I agree with you - there is something with rough backgrounds and amazingly dressed dolls, as in this case. I would love to visit a old factory and take Genevieve along in her can-can dress. :)
ReplyDeleteThank you!! I know!! I wanted to do something similar. Will see what I manage to get :D
